I am sure there isn't, but I was wondering if there is a way to upgrade a series 1 Tivo to series 2?

If not, does anybody know if there is a way to use the Home Media Option on a series 1 Tivo?

No, a series 1 cannot be upgraded to a series 2. Also, there is absolutely no way to put HMO on a series 1. If you really want HMO, you could always sell your old Series 1 on Ebay and then use the proceeds towards a new series 2 unit. Usually the costs almost break even when you do that.
