Best videosender for NTL

Bit off the tivo topic but...

can any of you guys recommend a videosender for NTL cable...?

I have a philips videosender linked to my tivo at home and the other half's parents saw it working and want one to use with their NTL box. (They haven't managed to get a tivo yet :-( )

The problem is that in the Argos catalogue, it has symbols indicating the features and the only one that has the NTL symbol is the most expensive one. My philips box has 2 scart inputs and 2 scart outputs so I can't see why this won't work with NTL.

Any thoughts...

AEI Digisender is a good one, might need an additional wotsit for certain NTL boxes though IIRC

It could be referring to not being able to send NTL remote commands back, in the same way that the TiVo needs a widget to work some NTL boxes... can't see why it wouldn't be able to send the NTL signal... it's just a SCART signal after all.

Indeed, you'll need to have one that can transfer the remote signals down to the cable box. NTL in their wisdom changed the IR format for it's boxes which is why Tivo needs to use a dongle.
I use any old video sender (a 19.99 jobbie from Lidl :D) that works fine, but then in only has to trasmit the IR codes of a normal Tivo, the tivo dongle at the other end actually changes the NTL box.

As for the video inputs, as long as it supports SCART or composite video (yellow, red, white) you should get a good enough picture at the other end.

The only thing I found with the Lidl videosender was the passthrough cable. This is a scart with a female scart in the back, it's plugged into the source and the original scart from the source is then plugged into the back of the videosender passthrough. This sent an acceptable signal to the receiver, but I noticed a definite degrading of the signal to the downstairs TV (the original target). In the end I moved it to another spare scart (the Tivo VCR port actually) to avoid this problem.
