Newbie question here-
I have a Phillips HDR112 (14 hour). I received the TiVo second hand from my father who had the drive replaced once already, I ordered a new drive to replace this drive, call it fear of having my new toy die, and the need for more space. The drive I ordered is going to be formatted and ready to go, my question is this, how difficult is it to replace the drive, is it as simple as opening the unit, unplugging and unscrewing and replacing, or is there something in there that will catch me off guard? Thanks

The only tricky bit is getting the case off!

The hard drive is on a bracket, so you unscrew the bracket and take the drive out of the TiVo.

The case and bracket bolts have #10 Torx heads and the bolts that hold the drive to the bracket are #15 Torx.
