$600 for a pair of shoes? Online? Seriously?...
Anyone else still watching this show?
What a surprise to see Cheech Marin's smiling face! I'm looking forward to more of him!

I watched most on last nights episode, a basketball game cut the first 20 minutes. It was an OK episode.

Phew, that's a relief! For a minute there... well, 76 minutes... :D I thought I was the only one watching this show!

Nope, I watched it! I had never watched the show before, but just got my Tivo on Friday and have decided to try shows I've never watched just to see if maybe I like them. Now that I'm not chained to a schedule - I can experiment a bit more.
It was an okay show and I'll probably give it another viewing on next week. I loved Cheech Marin, but thought "Amy" and the mother were a bit stiff and not a lot of personality - but then maybe I'm too used to sitcoms....
Loolks like they do tackle interesting and/or controversial subject matter.
Smiles,
Holly

Woo Hoo! Another Amy watcher! Welcome, Holly! To JA, this forum, and the TiVolution!!!
Hope you continue to watch the show. Since you're new to the series, I won't give you too much background in case you want to watch re-runs.
Yes, they do get in controversial stuff weekly.
I'm just waiting to see if Maxine will take an interest in Cheech! I think he could add some needed humor back to the show.

I still watch it, I haven't seen last night's ep yet. I use it as background noise/tv most of the time. But it's normally good for a laugh or two between the heavy handed moral messages.

I picked up on this as a suggestion. Unfortunatly I have another show schedule for the new episodes but I get atleast one of the daily showings on TNT.
I love TNT :)

Well, I didn't actually read a word of the thread, but I wanted to let you know that I care!
Judging Amy is one of only four network shows that I watch religiously. I think it's great, light but also with addressing real problems.
Last night's episode is still on TiVo waiting to be watched, so I'll come back later and actually read the thread and offer thoughtful, uh, thoughts. ;)
---
So, I'm back for my thoughtful thoughts.
The episode was okay. Definitely more serious, but that has been over the course of the past year. I'm also watching the first season which is showing on TNT now and it has a lighter tone.
Does anyone else think that Gillian is bipolar? She's either extremely happy and perky or extremely sad and angry, never in between. They did that with the character at first seemingly for laughs, but it's just strange. I wonder how she and Peter will end up? He's been pretty oblivious.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Cheech is signed on for many episodes.
This show is produced by the same lady who does the new Joan of Arcadia, so it is no surprise that Judging continues to do well with the strong script. It's one of those shows that people don't admit to watching..it almost always wins its time slot against whatever else is on.

I am still watching this show - as well as The Guardian, which I don't think anyone watches... of course I also watched Family Law right up until the end, and I know no one was watching it.

That's right. When I was on campus my entire apartment would watch Judging Amy. It's a show like Oz that has a much wider pull than you would expect.

Well, I'm glad to hear all that! I've watched from the beginning, and always looked forward to the next episode!

Guardian also is one of those sleepy hits. I put it in my Honorable Mentions for my current SPs. It has often beat 24 (before some better lead-ins more recently).
Another reason it is a no brainer why CBS is winning practically every week in the ratings.
