The Tick is now on DVD! All 8 originally aired episode along with 1 never aired, on a 2 DVD set!, I've had the final 3 episodes saved on my tivo ever since I heard the show was going to be canceled, just so I could revisit them occasionally.

Anyone else remember The Tick staring Patrick Warburton (ala Seinfeld fame)? It really was one of the best shows ever written for TV, hilarious stuff. It's too bad it was too weird for the networks to "get it"... maybe if enough people buy the dvd they will seek to ressurect the series on comedy central or something? everyone go out and buy your copy NOW!... even if you've never seen it, I personally guarantee* you will love it!!

I can't post a link because I'm a new member or I would :P

*guarantee does not actually entitle you to anything other than my opinion.

I thought the show got better with each episode. I absolutely loved the last episode aired. It was the one with The Tick breaking... The Moth?... out of a mental facility. At least that is the way I remember it.

Yeah, that's the one where Arthur's mom and sister have him commited for his dreams of being a super hero... great stuff, buy the dvd, I highly reccomend it. The pilot even has commentary from producer Barry Sonnenfeld.

I commend them for trying this live action... I love the Tick comics and Animated series. But this series didn't come up to my expectations at all. Physically Warburton was perfect for the part, but he played the Tick as if the hero was mentally retarded.

Anyway, I want the animated series on DVD, rather than the failed live action series.

we still get the animated version on camedy central and cartoon network occasionally... I loved that and the comic as well. The live action show was definately different, but wonderful

My favourite Tick moment was when he was in the locker room of some superhero club and some other hero is getting into his normal-person disguise -- ie putting on his glasses:

Tick: I'm sorry, sir, but this is a private club, you'll have to leave.
Other Superhero: (takes off glasses) It's OK, Tick, it's me.
T: Ah, good to see you again, OS. As I was saying...
OS: (puts glasses back on)
T: Look, I've told you before, you can't be in here - this is a private club
OS: (takes glasses off) It's me, Tick

Too funny.
