NBC announced today that The Lyon's Den will not be picked-up for a full season. No word yet as to whether or not the remaining episodes will ever be aired.

I've got to admit I'm glad to see it go. I'm ready for a really good new drama from NBC.

Bummer, I liked the show.
Oh well, I watch too much TV anyway.

That sucks :(
I liked Rob, hopefully he'll pick up something else fairly quick

Ugh, why did Rob Lowe ever leave The West Wing? I've been re-watching all the old eps that Bravo is airing and I have really started to miss him in the new eps. Sigh.
I for one will not miss The Lyon's Den, it wasn't very compelling TV.

From what I understand, Lowe was pitched the WW as a show written around his character and POTUS was gonna be like extra special guest star. Sorkin (or perhaps NBC) retooled it into the ensemble it is today with POTUS getting as much screen time as anyone else.
Lowe was never happy about that and when his contract ended he chose not to renew.

darnit. I liked Lyon's Den. It took a while to get going, but I was really enjoying the last few eps.

More specifically, every core cast member got a raise for this season, except for him. He threatened to leave, and they let him. He's since said that he was heartbroken to leave the show.

That would be fantastic! Especially with the new guy (what's his name?) going to work for the vice president. Maybe they've been planning his return.

Wasn't Sam Seaborne elected to the House? That's a 6-year term. The only way he would come back as a White House staffer is to resign his seat, and they'd have to come up with some pretty amazing storyline that would justify that. I don't think that's likely ...

Sorry. House is two years, Senate six.

Thanks for the correction!

Sam got beaten big time. I think they made him a special assistant to the president.
