The Practice

According to TV Guide it is unlikely that Dylan McDermott will make a return this season to The Practice. He was under contract for a four episode arc. But now there is no need to bring him back with the popularity of James Spader's character.

Dylan McDermott has taken a starring role in TNT's six part terrorism-themed series, The Grid.

I agree James Spader does a fabulous job. It's too bad that they gave Lara Flynn Boyle the boot because I think that those two would have had a wonderful chemistry.

Dylan McDermott= Bobby Donnell

I'm glad, he is gone. Too much whining from him in the last couple seasons.

Can someone explain to me what happened in the Practice and why the characters all changed?

I've watched the show on and off, but primarily off for that last two seasons. But I've been dying to know what happened on the show that caused such a change.

The show was brought back this season on condition that they drastically reduce the cost, which they accomplished by eliminating three of the highest-paid stars.

I stopped watching it after the initial storyline was resolved in the first couple episodes. I still have all the recordings since then, but have been debating whether to watch them or just get rid of them and the SP. Any recommendations? I was really hoping it would get canceled.

I too, found myself wanting to stop watching it. I was tired of the pulpit lecture every episode, but this season has changed so much for the better. It is better this year, than at any other time....

Thanks, hopefully I'll be glad I didn't delete them last night.

UNTIL LAST NIGHT!

That was the most unbelievable, preachy episode I have ever seen. I was hoping maybe Spader would save it but they only used him as a clown.

I have no problem with someone disagreeing with the changes since 9/11 but this episode came across as something written by a high school freshman class.
