IMHO ... It's about time! Show became unwatchable.

Sad, but I'm kinda glad. The past few seasons were average but this season has been superb. I'm glad they are going out strong.

Maybe I need to revisit syndication once it departs. I gave up well before this season.

It really hit its comic stride in the middle years it was on...I stopped watching 4 or 5 years ago...
I think KG has the record for playing the same character in primetime -- according to TV Tome he first appeared as Dr. Frasier Crane in Season 3, Episode 1 of Cheers on 9/27/84, episode was titled: Rebound, Part 1.

Yay!! It frees up a time slot on NBC's schedule so they can put on a show I might be interested in watching.
I liked Dr. Fraiser Crane on "Cheers", but I could never get into the spinoff show.

He's tied with James Arness for Gunsmoke, according the the article linked in the first post. Hard to believe he's been doing the same character for so long!

Be careful what you wish for. They do need a place for "Joey" ...

"Joey" has already been scheduled in the "Friends" slot.

I also think the last 2 seasons have been good, but I am glad that it is winding down too. Go out with a bang. I want Frasier and Roz to get together. Stupid romantic that I am. Of course if that did happen, in a few years Frasier would get some VD and die. That would happen off camera at least.

Just got an email advertising Average Joe 2, or is that who you mean :)
Either way I am sure they have a reality show in the wings to replace Frasier.

I wonder if they could give the Frasier character his own spin-off...

"Joey" is the title of the "Friends" spinoff featuring Matt LeBlanc reprising his role as Joey Tribbianni. It will air in the 8:00 PM Eastern slot on Thursday currently occupied by "Friends".

I'm sad to see it go, but glad to see they're going out relatively strong, not milking it for another season or two.

Ditto.
Never saw 1 full episode of Frasier.
I might eventually watch it in syndication, but I doubt it.

Weird thing is that I didn't start watching Frasier until the past few years. And I think it was last year that Roz and Frasier slept together. ;)

No, no - "Wings" ended years ago, although I think you can still catch reruns. ;)

They are still shooting this show? I stopped watching after the first 2 or so seasons.

Frasier will be replaced by a new Dick Wolf show, "Law & Order: Private Security" starring John Mahoney as security guard Martin Crane, an ex-cop with a limp.

I'll miss Frasier, but I'm glad to see them end it now. Possibly the best spin off ever.

Yeah I know they slept together. But sleeping with someone hasn't made them a couple now did it?

... and his sidekick dog, Moose.

I'm perturbed to see Frasier go. Friend and Frasier are both SPs of mine, and now I'm not going to have enough SPs. I need replacements. I hope Joey is as good as Friends - I'll give him a shot. I hope I can find another SP to live up to the quality of Frasier, but I don't know.
