Is anyone currently working on upgraded software tools, to allow the usage of SATA drives during the upgrade process?

Just curious as my new system has an add-in board for SATA drives, and my one of my two hard drives are SATA.

Also with the curiosity of the new HD-Tivo "possibly" being a SATA interface..

Just curious.

At 7200 rpm, the difference in performance between an ATA100/133 drive and SATA150 would not be measurable in a TiVo, so there is no benefit in supporting that interface. Perhaps it may prove significant for HD recording, but for the current crop of PVRs, the drive is much faster than the data stream, even with older 5400 rpm drives.
