Hi All,

I am having problems with my SAT T-60 which may be HD related. So I posted the following message in the direct TV forum:

Hi All,
I am hoping you guys can help. I have an unmodified Sat T-60 which has been working great for me. However, yesterday it started behaving odd. I could hear loud clicks coming from it at regular intervals, while watching a recorded show and the audio kept on dropping frequently. This was on a recorded 'the 70s show'. Initially I thought maybe the fox network was having problems. I live in the rockville, md area. Later on I was watching the recording of the apprentice. The audio drops began to happen even more frequntly. This was accompanied by freezing of the picture and stuttering. Also menu changes began to get really slow. So I reset the recorder a number of times but each time it kept on doing the same things i.e. loud clicking, picture stopping, slow menu changes. Is this a sign that my HD is dying?
So I left the TIVO unplugged overnight and then reconnected it today. The problems seem to have stopped for now, but I am concerned? Any advice or suggestions will be really appreciated. I really don't want to lose the T-60. Thanks.

I was told to post on this site by one of the posters who suggested that somebody may be able to mail me an image of the T-60 as since my HD may be damaged, I want a clean and undamaged image. I would really appreciate it if somebody could please PM me the SAT T-60 image. Thank you very much.

Yes and No:

The PC should be able to do some error correcting on the dying drive and be able to read the data for the upgrade process. But, it may be too damaged as well.. Hard to say.

As for the Image, post a friend request in the Underground/Upgrade forum. I am certain someone will reply with a PM with a private link for the Image.
