"Video signal was unavailable..."

Ok, so long story short, I install a new A drive (no B), have to use a new image since the old A went kaput in the middle of the backup, and now everything is working (calls, updates, guide data, pause, FF, RW, everything) EXCEPT when I go to play a recoreded program it tells me that the "Video signal was unavailable..." and so on. When I try to record live tv, it looks like it's recording, but the record light never comes on and it never shows up in the now playing list. Suggestions?
(FYI: this is a TCD140060 Series2)

I am having the same issue after upgrading from the stock 40gig A drive to a 160. I can record shows but it seems that after a certain amount of time that the tivo looses them and I get the "there was no video.." error msg. Now I know this is bunk because I have even watched half a show...waited several days and then get the error. I also get pauses in shows where it just freezes and will not play any further. Could I have just gotten a bad drive? Any help would be a god send.

Well last night I tried the "reset all" function of the Tivo and everythign seems to be working so far... I guess we'll just wait and see.

Yes, if you have a Series 2 TiVo and you use a backup from a different TiVo to image your hard drive, you need to do a 'clear and delete everything' reset to reinitialise the encryption keys before you can use the TiVo. Strange things will happen if you forget to do this.
