Problem with daily call using Network
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've just added a cachecard to my (UK) Tivo, and connected it to my BT Openworld DSL connection.
Almost everything seems to work, EXCEPT the daily call (a test call works just fine). If I look at the svclog, the place where it dies is when it is trying to download the slice.bnd file. This gives a status of FAILED.
Anyone got any clues? I've opened all outgoing ports for the TiVo on my SonicWALL, and the firewall logs don't show anything being blocked.
Any ideas?
Thanks a million,
Paul.

I know you said you opened the ports on your firewall. Try turning the firewall completely off and see what happens then. At least you will be able rule that out.
I don't know to much about the cachecards. Do they have a dial prefix that has to be changed? If so try a lower baud rate. Just a suggestion.

Baud rate? Do you have to adjust that on a network
connection?
Puzzled ....

To be honest with you dude I really don't know. One of these guys will answer for you.
I thought taking your firewall down would take that out of the scenrio.
