So, I'm over at my in-laws, and there is a (TiVoless) tv in the kitchen, and Las Vegas is on. I glance at the opening credits, and I see Nikki Cox. HFC! Why didn't you guys tell me that great piece of eye candy was back on TV? I depend on you for things like that, you know!

Clearly you are not watching Las Vegas, or you would realize that Sam on Vegas is even hotter than Nikki Cox (and unlike Nikki's character, actually has a point to the show).

Sorry, I have to disagree on this. Nikki is not only has higher billing but she is ever so much prettier than the other three.

Vanessa has a skanky quality I dislike, Molly sims come across the same way too. Thomason at least has the accent working for her. But Nikki has the girl next door always in love with Josh D thing working for her and for me, that works great. It was the only good part about last night hideous show.

I doubt that although it might be possible. Fact is she has more of a track record in prime time than any of the others. Her first show was on for what 5-6 years? Vanessa came from soaps had some success on one of the 90210/melrose twins and the other two are pretty much unknowns although Thomason has done lots of stuff overseas.

Am I the only one who got the impression her character was an escort for the first episode or two? Stereotype hooker with a heart of gold. Seemed like out of nowhere she became a legit member of the Montecito staff.

I hesitate to say she is the least attractive woman on the show. I mean... really. I wouldn't hesitate to say she would be the one I would most enjoy being with (in a non-sexual way, folks).

She originally was a hooker, but NBC didn't like that, so she was legitimized.

Might be a coincidence like all the women in Friends being alphabetically before all the men. It may well be alphabetical but remember. Post Hoc Ergo Proctor Hoc does not mean it is so.

Nikki's character is Entertainment Coordinator or Director or something like that.

So why is Lesure's character a valet? The man has an engineering degree from MIT or someplace like that, and he's the go-to guy when the surveillance systems go down. They can't afford to put him on staff? Then again, chief valet probably pays a lot better (especially with all the tips).

:) I was wondering that last night....that's a pretty huge area for a claustrophobe to fret about. I don't know much about the condition, even though my mother had it, so maybe it's the knowledge that you are locked in ANY area. I only remember my mom having a problem in really tight tunnel-like areas, like waiting for certain rides at Disneyworld.

But geez, that surveillance room is probably bigger than Mike's apartment. Does he sleep with all the doors wide open?

Do not be messing with my Vanessa! Fact is that Nikki Cox "came from soaps,' too, as have many talented actors and actresses.

And, if it's "Unhappily Ever After" that you're talking about, it ran for 4 years, but that wasn't really her show. The Nikki Cox show ran for two years.

Don't get me wrong--I like her, although I think that she looks just as trashy as the others. I just don't like when folks harsh on soap actors.

A friend of mine is a writers' production assistant on "Las Vegas." Before the premiere, I had the following conversation with him:

Me: Will Nikki Cox be wearing her usual short skirts?
Him: Even shorter.

Unfortunately, I gave the show a chance, but it didn't grab me, despite the pulchritude. My friend seems to really be enjoying working there, though, even if he only gets to run into Nikki Cox occasionally.
