Anyone Watching "Line of Fire"?
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Maybe I've missed the thread, but is anyone out there watching Line of Fire? I am totally engrossed in the series, but never hear anybody talk about it. Is it too much of a chick flick? Are my standards dropping because there is so little else to watch? Do I need to see a shrink?

The show bumped "Law & Order:SVU" off my SP list. I hope it gets a chance next season. I'd much rather watch this on Tuesdays than "NYPD Blue"!

This one proved the value of my girlfriend's "Watch Four Episodes" rule. I missed the first season of The Wire after a boring first two eps, and was ready to bail on Line of Fire after the first episode didn't live up to the hype.
But now that we're several episodes into the season, I'm digging it. Good stuff so far, especially when considering the limitations imposed on making a Mob/FBI show for network TV.

Have been watching, have an SP set up. Enjoyed it so far, they seem to be writing themselves into a corner lately.
That's that with that.:D

My wife always screws up phrases and names of things (gets it from her mother) and it's a running joke. For instance she always calls this show "Under Fire" and I always correct her. So one day we're talking about something and she jokingly says "That'll be that with that".
So as usual I roll my eyes and tell her that his phrase is "that's that with that", not "that'll be that with that". She makes the same mistake a few more times in subsequent conversations, and I laugh with her about it.
So of course the inevitable happens. We're watching Line Of Fire a few weeks ago and David Paymer's on the phone with someone and he says "that'll be that with that".
Now the second he said it I saw my wife turn and look at me out of the corner of my eye. I keep staring straight at the TV - I can't bring myself to look at her. She keeps staring at me, willing me to turn my head. I fight it as long as possible and finally burst into laughter. She makes me pause the show while she gloats and laughs at me.
It was cute.

Cute story, scooterboy. :)
Then I suppose you unpaused and David Paymer orders the murder of another federal withness! :D

I was wondering if anyone was watching too and if it was any good. I have the SP and have all the episodes on my Tivo, but havn't watched any of them yet. I need to either start watching or delete them because I am starting to run out of room.
But it sounds like you guys like the show. I'll give it a try and see how it is.

Yet another thing that makes TiVo great. I do the same thing a few times a season when I'm on the fence about a show. If I hear good things, I watch it. If it gets cancelled by Ep 5 or 6, then I just delete the bunch!

Oh well. I had them all stored up unwatched, while I waited to decide, and then just two days ago I decided to trash them. I should have waited for this discussion!
