Anything good on TechTV nowadays? Since I got my TiVo I haven't watched it once. I used to always park on that channel when surfing, but alas, no more surfing.

Thanks,

Keith

I TiVo the Screen Savers and Call for Help every day and speed though segments I don't care about.

I watch Call for Help and Screen Savers every day. I also TiVo Tech Live but have gotten very irritated with the number of news bits that are repeated over and over. (If I have to hear about that stupid massage thingy again, I will be compelled to throw something at the TV.) The hosts bug me a bit but the info is golden. I also watch Fresh Gear since I'm a gadget freak! =)

I RPTV Tech-TV shows in below order of interest
Unscrewed
Screen Savers
X-play====> with my kids
Fresh Gear===> every now an then

I record and watch The Screen Savers most days. I should also record Call For Help but I don't.

I record The Screensavers every day.

The Screensavers and X-Play. The first "Nerd Nation" episode was good too.

It kind if depends on your tastes. I record quite a few shows on Tech TV. I have a SP for The Screen Savers, Call for Help, Conspiracies, and Unscrewed. For some of the newer shows that I might be interested in I will do a "record by time or channel" and pick two episodes of a show as a way of judging.

oh! I forgot about Body Hits... I watched the first one and thought it was pretty interesting so I added an SP for it. It's an interesting show about what drinking, doing drugs, over eating etc do to our bodies.

i just gave CfH & SS either 2 or 3 Thumbs Up ... my TiVo will always grab one or two of each

I still TiVo Fresh Gear, even without Sumi Das....

Posted by: cheerdude

I have a SP for Fresh Gear, Screen Savers & X-Play (though I don't have a console or play on my PC... yet).

I have a sp for X-play and screensavers.

I've got SPs for Anime Unleashed, Call for Help, The Screen Savers, Unscrewed, Nerd Nation. My son has an SP for X-Play. Needless to say our TiVos have a lot of TechTV content on them.

Thanks for all of the replies.

It seems Screen Savers is a clear favorite with personal interest shows different for each person. I will be adding Screen Savers, Fresh Gear, and X-Play SP's tonight.

I used to watch XPlay with my kids, but the show's need for constant profanity prevents that now.

Fresh Gear is pretty good, but again, constant use of the word "a$$."

kick-'ass' as a word, same to have evolved pass being a cuss word. But I understand your position. I would not say "kick-ass game" in front of my mom :p

I also have The Screensavers, Fresh Gear, and X-Play.
I also really enjoy Invent This! probably most of all.

I happen to like TechTV a lot, I just wish they'd get better guide data...

My SPs from TechTV:

The Screen Savers
X-Play
Fresh Gear
Nerd Nation (trying it out, but I don't think I like it)

I don't think I could tolerate a whole hour a day of The Screen Savers, except for the ability to blow past entire segments that I'm just not interested in.

X-Play, same thing, I blow by what I don't want to see.

Fresh gear, same thing!

I use TechTV kind of like 'filler' material between other shows that I've TiVoed... I can grab a quick, crack-like burst of entertainment and be done with it.
