What's up with tonight? 1/28

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Why is there total crap on tonight. From a bad Arnie movie (6th Day) to reruns of the West Wing, The O.C. and The Apprentice.

The only thing new on is American Idol which I'm sick of and Smallville and Angel which I don't watch.

Looks like the highlight of tonight will be trading a recording of ST: TNG with Star Trek: Enterprise. Never watched it before, it supposed to be good?

I noticed that Traffic thing on USA too. It has a lot of commercials during Monk, is it any good? EDIT: Nevermind, it is a 3 part minisieries. Dont want to watch the last part.

Pistons/Celtics! :D

Sweeps is in February. January is kind of the silly season.

Sounds like a good night for a movie.

Take up watching Smallville. Good one coming tonight with Lana going mental.

Yeah, this is actually a good night for me--Smallville and Angel in HD.

Smallville is absolutely spectacular in HD, and Angel is so murky is SD, I almost HAVE to watch the HD.

This is what all those shows previously recorded on your TiVo is for -- slow nights on TV!

Thank goodness it's investment club night.

I am curious to see how many goals Jagr scores on the Caps tonight, however...

This thread seems really out of place in a TiVo forum. I have hours and hours of recordings I've been catching up on the past few weeks while most stuff is in repeats. Isn't that the whole idea? - watch what you want, when you want? As much as I hate falling way behind on shows when everything's new (like February), it's times like now when I'm glad I have a long list of stuff to watch.

Speaking of Smallville, that's one I've been way behind on, watched 4 eps in the last 2 days. Unfortunately, 8:00 is too early in the evening for me to watch live HD without being interrupted, but only two more months until HD-TiVo. That'll definitely be on my list of HD SPs though, it does look great. Angel will be too if I can somehow catch up by the beginning of next season. I just started the season 1 DVDs about a month ago.

I can't agree more. With TiVo there are no more slow nights. I've still got some JAG episodes from 1995 to catch up on.

Stars vs. Senators tonight...

Problem is, the TiVo is drained now (ok I probably watch too much TV)

We tend to not let too much build up, if there is on average 4-5 hours of recordings a day (incl commercials)

We tend to watch most of that the next evening , definitely by the end of the week.

I must have weird tastes as there arent too many shows outside of prime time I like or havent seen already :) And most of the TiVo's primetime recording hours are spoken for. I have a JAG AWL but I've seen about 75% of the episodes now, same with the Simpsons syndication.

During the day my girlfriend records a lot of those DIY shows on BBCA which I term as boring :) But except for the occasional movie, I dont see much else in its place :)

Traffic, haven't watched it.

But, the first two eps were on tonight as well.

I recording Smallville, Enterprise and Angel. All 3 are new (I think).

Posted by: Rob Helmerichs

Not Enterprise...

That's what I watched tonight.

About the game:

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

Zero points for Jags.

Maybe the reason for the Caps bad season so far is due to the team not playing the Rags until now. Three more games like tonight and we may be on to something. :D

Okay, maybe not. Let's just hope for a good draft pick. But it's always fun to beat the Rangers.

Well I COULD watch an episode of Keen Eddie but I'm trying not to because I'll be watching the episodes out of order. Did the programmer at Bravo come over from Fox? Tonight is perfect for watching this show.

[hijack]I watched it when I got home. That's the best I've seen them play in a while, including (especially!) Olie.

I'm such a disenchanted fan at this point. I have season tickets and I'll venture I've been to 8 games so far this year? I wouldn't have picked a fight with the owner but I sure as heck would have made a sign!

It just irks me when Teddy Logon talks about the situation like it was out of his control......"We were forced to play too many inexperienced players"......Uh, nobody forced you. You made the decisions and signed the contracts....[/hijack]

My Tivo is completely full. I'm starting to lose shows I want to see, and I only record 1-1.5 hrs per night! I need to take a snow day just to get caught up!

um, Nooooo, you need to upgrade your Tivo :D

just add a 100+ hard drive, and I promise, it won't fill up for a while. :)

but yea, my poker night was last night so it didn't bother me, plus, as people noted, plenty of stuff to catch up on.
