Is DeepDiscountDVD reputable? I am very hesitant to give my Visa# to a site I've never heard of.

Yes they are. Very good reputation. I've ordered there countless times and never had a problem. Their shipping might be a day or two slower than amazon, but that's the only 'problem' with them.

I've bought from them frequently and never have had the slightest problem. I'd recommend them.

I will never buy from DeepDiscountDVD.com again.

I just received the 9 and 10th DVD two days ago from an order I made on 12/02/2003. When I placed my order they checked my credit card to see if I had enough funds. (They did this in a way that took me 3 weeks to get it removed from my account and many phone calls). When they shipped my order only 2 items shipped and they charge my card again. This put me close to my limit (I only use a low limit credit card for online stuff). Then when they went to ship the remaining part of my order since they have over charged my card the card was denied. They canceled the order no email saying login and change your credit card or anything. I emailed about 5 times about it and they never responded to any of the emails. About 3 weeks later I got them on the phone to remake my order and remove the original charge (that they claim was just a check to see if this card is good). Oh then I called them about this new order since I had not received any email about it or noticed any charges on my credit card and the person I talked to didn't click the confirm order wanted button or that was what they said. Now when I login to the website it shows that I only have only ordered 2 copies of the Aliens Box set yet I have received 10 DVD's from the company.

Thanks Marco, must be popular today b/c they're out of stock, but i've waited this long, i can wait more :) can't beat that price, will have to check out this site more often

I'm not here to defend DDD's bad handling of your order, but it should be noted that you placed your order during the week of their storewide 20% off promotion, which brought them TONS and TONS of orders, running them out of stock on (I'm sure) thousands of titles.

They're fine when they're good, kinda lackluster when they're bad.

Pro: a half dozen DVDs arrived fine
Con: My second Identity DVD, ordered 12/3 as a gift, showed up yesterday after several emails to customer service asking what was going on, why my card was being charged for DVDs that didn't ship, why orders were disappearing, etc. Yes, this was during the big 20% off promotion, but they didn't exactly sell me on their customer service.

I'd still use them if the price was good, but I'm going elsewhere if it's a price match.
