I set up a ARWL for the X Files awhile back and have been enjoying the show. The problem that I have is when they show arch plot episodes I get lost. I Googled "X Files" and either find "season six for sale" sites, or conspiracy analysis sites. I am looking for a basic season by season breakdown of the character development. Does such a site exist, or am I going to have to breakdown and just buy the series so I can watch it in the order intended?

Unfortunately Fox took down the Official X-Files site some time ago. The link that smak posted has a pretty good overview of the mythology . For a comprehensive episode guide I like this site: http://stories.wigglefish.com/x-files/

Of course, my husband says I am a walking X-Files encyclopedia, so if you have any questions about specific episodes, feel free to ask.

I'm a big fan of the show too, and I was going to suggest some of those sites also. And you can always post your specific questions here; I'm sure there are enough of us around who are always happy to discuss the show with fellow fans!
