I have a Series 1 and a Series 2 machine. The hard drive in the Series 1 go bad so I sent it off to Hinsdale to have it replaced. I got it back and my Tivo would not dial in. When I was speaking to the nice folks at Tivo they informed me that I could transfer my Lifetime TIVO subscription to a new machine. I was grandfathered in since I bough my lifetime subsciption before January 2000.

So off I went to buy a second 80 Hour Series 2, and since I was able to transfer my lifetime subscription. Then I decided to buy the Linksys gear to go with Home Media.

So far I like it, pretty cool!
