Is it possible to have an icon for "Subscribed Threads" in Forum Views?

I make heavy use of subscriptions here at TC Forums, and have email sent to me whenever a thread I subscribed to has a new reply. I also do a lot of forum browsing, by checking out new thread titles all the time. Unfortunately, when I'm looking at a forum there's no way to tell if I already am subscribed to a thread without actually opening the thread.

Is it possible to add a new icon or some other indicator next to the thread title (in the forum view) to show which threads I am already subscribed to, or conversely, to show which threads I am NOT subscribed to? (I am actually more interested in seeing threads I haven't subscribed to when I'm looking at the forum, as I can always go to my User CP to see any threads I'm already subscribed to.)

I'm hoping this is do-able, because right now whenever I select a forum to view, my cookies are read and the forum displays an arrow icon next to all threads that have new posts since my last visit. Hopefully another step could be added to to check my subscription status and display a new "subscribed" icon alongside the new-reply icon.

I would just love to have some way to see at a glance which threads I have not subscribed to, so I can focus my attention on those threads when I'm looking at a forum index.

Subscribed threads have a black dot in the icon. http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/images/dot_folder.gif

The black dot means that you've posted in the thread, not that it's subscribed, I believe.

You are right. (I auto-subscribe to threads in which I post, so the two are usually synonymous.) The black dot does indicate threads with your posts and not subscribed threads.

I didn't know about the black-dot, so thanks for that. Since that only shows me some of the threads I'm subscribed to, I'm still hoping David can come up with something. (And again, when I'm looking at the forum, I'm really only interested in the threads I haven't subscribed to, as I monitor the subscribed threads through my User CP.)

I am sorry, but I know no way of doing this. If also would mean another complete query for each thread to see if you have subscribed to it or not with each forum display. This is not something that would be good for the server.

Ok, lets try this, one extra query. It is not an icon at this time...But I do have it where after the thread title is shows [Subscribed].

Now someone will want a way to unsubscribe from it. That would be a pain so please do not ask. :)
