Hi everyone, i'm kind of stuck upgrading my Series1 tivo. I'm planning on using my old 30gig Maxtor from my comp. I ran the blesstivo program and it said 'this drive was determined to be a 1GB drive" instead of 30gb.

do i need to unlock it? which program should I use for that?

This is probably a BIOS issue. Go into the BIOS configurator when the PC starts up (usually you press Del). Setting the channel the hard drive is on to 'Auto' in 'Standard CMOS settings' should do the trick.

excellent, it worked! now I just need to put the little sauger in my tivo.
