Hi Guys,
Another newbie here. I have tried searching the forum to see if there is anything about using a 120GB+ hard drive on a series 1 TIVO and I have seen no results..
Here is my question, I have seen the upgrade sites that they offer two 250GB hard drive and fully utilize them.. however on the How tos.. it says you can use them but it will utilize more than 130GB.. How do I go around that problem?
Sorry if this has been asked many times, as I can't seems to find it in the search.
Thanks,

The thread you're looking for is called '160gb limit, lba48. etc' and is at the top of the Undergroung. See pages five and six and then page 21 for some better tools courtesy of PTVUpgrade.
2x250 is fine. 2x300 is possible if you kno the trick.
Remember you need about 1/2000th of your disk space as swap if you're not to lose the lot to a GSOD. Getting the large swap partition initialised is the tricky bit (although tpip makes it easier than it was).
