Anyone else get queer eye marketing email?

I usually use a custom email address for each company I deal with, that's why I was disappointed in TiVo when I received an email promoting the new Queer Eye CD to the email address that only TiVo would have.

In addition the email has the standard spam feature of a tracker gif to confirm receipt of this unwanted mail.

Before I call up the TiVo folks and start complaining, did anyone else receive the same email? I want to make sure this isn't some spammer that guessed this email address.

Well, iTunes Music Store's "New Music Tuesday" email was promoting that CD.. Kinda weird, IMHO, considering only 3 songs fro mthe CD are available for purchase at iTMS.

But I don't think this is what you are asking about.

I haven't got it at the email address that I used for TiVo. So far I've never gotten any spam at that address.

(or any other email address for that matter) :)

We haven't done any recent promotions or work with Bravo, and (per our privacy policy) would never share e-mail addresses or other personal information with Bravo without your express permission (such as via an opt-in Showcase).

Can you please forward me the e-mail so I can do some detective work?

Any possibility you used that address in multiple locations?

I got the email too. Mine was from the Liz Phair Newsletter - Capitol Records.

I have been using another email for contests and such... so I can't see it coming from that. I believe that Liz Phair was one of the promotions that was on TiVo (maybe a month ago).

I got it too... it was to the same address everything else was, but I also associated it with the TiVo promotion from a while back.

Thanks to those of you who forwarded me the e-mail. We tracked this down. The headers and "From" reveal that this e-mail was from the Liz Phair Newsletter (email@lizphair.com).

If you entered the "Win a Liz Phair Concert Package" contest from the recent Liz Phair showcase, as per your request, your e-mail address was supplied to Capitol Records to enter the contest. Please review the attached screens (this message and next four messages).
