Which of YOUR SPs/WLs does your Person hate?

Just happened last night... I've been watching some Spike TV, mostly Most Extreme Elimination. Caught a quick preview of the SI Swim Suit shows coming. So I only WL'd the anniversary one, not all 6.

She noticed it last night and .... well, it got deleted without being watched...

She deleted it herself, or did you have a "talk" about it first? :)

Well, there were words spoken, but I don't exactly remember my lips moving... and I deleted it myself.

Then I got the "well, it would have been ok if we watched it together..."

Since my GF doesn't live with me, it's not an issue. But if she did, I'd have to get a "his" box for my "shoot-up bang-up" movies.

Spike had a Playboy anniversary party a couple of months ago. I had fogotten that I set it to record. One night I had fallen asleep on the couch watching TV and woke up to find this recording. So I went back to the beginning, and FF through it, stopping on parts that were interesting. Anyway, the next night when I got home from work, I noticed it wasn't in the NP list anymore. I never asked her about it and she never said anything, but I was glad I watched it while it was on.

Already watched the SI special since I feared the same thing would happen.

Looks like you've found a way to keep piece in you house.. not to mention having your cake and eating it too! :D

My wife and I like a lot of the same shows. But among our first-run SPs, she doesn't really care for "Star Trek: Enterprise".

I have an SP for "Cheers" reruns and she doesn't like that show.

I just asked her, and she said "Futurama, and all those silly movies you record"

I'm assuming she means Dune and Fahrenheit 451 which i just made her sit through recently.

Other than that we agree on just about everything in the list.

She's not too keen on my Stargate:SG-1 WL. It's set to Record All, since I just started watching it and I'm playing catch up. Now that I think about it she doesn't really like Junkyard (Mega) Wars, my History/Disocvery/Nova shows.

Was that intentional? ;)

I wish I could generate some peace of mind for you on that very question...

My X-Files SP. Hubby complains that I have already seen all of them many, many times, and there is no reason to keep recording them.

My wife isn't fond of any of the animated SPs I've got (anime and other stuff from Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block). No big deal since we've got enough other SPs that we both enjoy.

I have a tendancy to watch good television, as a result my wife hates all my SP's

They get in the way of her Extreme Makeover and Apprentice. Pretty much the only one we agree on is The OC.

It seems to work out ok though, there's plenty of Oprah's recorded for her to watch while my stuff records and I think I've finally gotten her to figure out how to switch over to the VCR for tuning while one of mine are recording (it's one button press on the remote, but it took weeks of "how do I change it again?")

Maybe you can get her interested in the Carter/O'Neil UST... ;)

I'm a huge Basketball fan and, living in LA, a huge Lakers fan. So I record every game, since I don't get home until late. She HATES it! Can't tell you how many fights we've had....

Late Night Poker always gets a negative reaction.

Nigella Bites -- my partner can't understand a word she says, and it drives him crazy!

Monty Python's Flying Circus.

She actually complimented Futurama the other day, which I regard as a major victory!

Damn I got the perfect wife. She'd never delete anything intentionally, nor had done so unintentionally. As long as there is space, I can do whatever I want and she the same.

We agree on almost all of the shows we record, but I enjoy Trading Spaces, because I occasionally get ideas that we can use to decorate and/or remodel. She doesn't hate the show, but generally I watch it while she's doing housework and she just comes in to see the final result.

Cheaters. Trash Reality telavision at it's worst.

But she will watch it with me.

Something like that I'd have to use the *gasp* VCR.

It must mean I shouldn't watch it, eh?

This is why I want software that allows title changes.

"SI Swimsuit Anniversary Special" = "Super Bowl XXVI Highlights"
"Victoria Secret Fashion Show" = "DIY: Lawnmowing"

I've got the perfect wife too - we figured out a long time ago that there is little we have in common on TV. She watches what she watches, I watch what I watch. Probably will go to two TiVo's when the bedroom TV is upgraded.

My wife doesn't like anything Sci Fi. This is why she now has her own Dtivo and is not allowed to delete anything from mine. They same goes for hers, I don't touch it. We record most of the programming we watch together on mine, and hers is hers.
