What have they done to a classic 70's sci-fi show!

Galactica 1980 was pretty bad (except for "The Return Of Starbuck")

But this version :(

Human looking Cylons (cheap)
Female Starbuck and Boomer
No 5.1 sound

Lorne Greene would turn in his grave...

Haven't seen it as it is only on Sky's premium-costing movie channels. With the amount of promotion it's had, it should have been on Sky One.

Was Tweeky in it? :D

Doesn't Edward James Olmos look different from his hard man image in Miami Vice (just finished watching one of the MV dvds :)) how time marches on...

Chap at work quite liked it actually - is it right this is just a 2 part series, not a complete run?

Yes, it's a 2-parter but a series has been given the go-ahead and will be part-funded by Sky.

Today, my copy of the DVD version arrived along with Season 1 of Blake's Seven :)

BG DVD has 5.1 sound, 16:9, but has a very grainy picture and VERY poor sound sync.

It also has a 20min countdown version of the "Lowdown" extra shown on Sky.

This is in widescreen but in a 4:3 window :(
