DTivo Guide Data Different?

I was watching something else last night and I noticed that the guide data for my DTivo and my standalones are different. The Dtivo for American dream did not list who the musical stars where in the desciption while the standalone data has it. I thought they both got it from Tribune.

Do they get their data from different sources? I know the DTivo receives it differently but I though the content was the same.

I think DirectTV gets it from Gemstar now, or at least is transitioning over. We are all getting some loss of guide data and shows. I missed Sex in the City last night.

There is something about it in the DTiVo forum.

I've noticed that descriptions of the same show often differ between my Series 1 to my Series 2.

As did I. That is one reason I was looking at it. I fortunately noticed and scheduled it for tonight. Not a good trend. Might have to wander over to the dTivo forum and see wassup!
