The Daily Show - 1 AM Tuesday Repeat Old?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I believe this is the second week in a row I've noticed this.

With presumably a new "Daily Show" airing on Comedy Central at 11 PM ET Monday night, I would expect that show to be repeated at 1 AM Tuesday morning (2 hours later). It doesn't appear to be the case. I got a week old show (from last Monday) this morning at 1 AM!

Is the new episode not supposed to air at 1 AM Tuesday, or am I just missing something about the repeats?

I have a manual record on the 1 AM slot Tuesday-Friday. I don't record the 11 PM show because I want to move the recording out of "live" mode (mostly because I watch the 11 PM local news live).

I have a new manual record set up for 10 AM Tuesday, we'll see what happens...

Hi Inundated,

Don't know why last week's 1 am Tuesday show would have been a repeat, since the 11pm was new, but this week's 11 pm Monday show was a repeat -- Bob Dole discussing primaries from a week or so back. JS always gets to take a week off during sweeps; such power!! (Tho he'd say nobody's watching; it's cable! :) )

I just realized...Monday was Presidents' Day. Maybe he gets the day off :)

Aw, crap. I've already missed Dole discussing the elections? That's the only part of the Daily Show I like watching! Dang it. Is he going to be on each time there's a primary?

The 10 AM showing today was indeed the same repeat with Bob Dole.

Angie, if they run it again later today (I think 7 PM ET, 6 PM out your way), it'll probably be that same show.

You are right, I should not have said for sure it's a whole week off. Indeed, I usually watch both Mon and Tues to be sure the whole week is going to be repeats.

The whole thing would be solved by TDS sending Tribune some frickin' guide data!!! Than Angie could have a WL for Bob Dole, we could use FRO SPs and the whole world would be a better place. :)

BTW Angie, Dole has only been on once this primary season; I'd guess the next time he might could be on would be the Wednesday after super Tuesday??

Theoretically, if I had Tivo. :D Although I have to say, outside of the humor arena, I'm not sure I'd want to watch Dole. He's really at his best when they let him be his ol' humorous self.

I'll make a mental note to watch after Super Tuesday, though. His commentary last election was priceless.
