The Practice - 2/15

Cool! This past week's episode of the Practice, showed my office on TV! The story line was a trial at Norfolk County Superior Court in Dedham, MA. They actually did an outside shot of the Courthouse, an inside stairwell shot, and then a shot from the front of the Registry of Deeds building, aimed down the street panning from the County Administration building (my office) to across the street where District Court is.

It was weird seeing that! Good to see the pronounced Dedham right, Dead-um, not Dead-ham!:D

While an interesting episode, there wasn't anything resolved so we'll have to wait until next week. Betty White is awesome though :)

Yes, what a sweet, nasty bitch!

It seemed like she was channeling a bit of Sue Ann Nivens into that character.

When she first popped up on the screen I paused to tell my GF who she was. I wasn't sure what to expect, but definitely not the B*tch from Hell she's portraying. I'm guessing she had a total blast doing that.

Anyone else think she's the perfect prototype to have been Alan's mother? :D

The dog poop in the hand shake was priceless! And the line "I'm just here to suck on one of Victoria's wizened tits" absolutely had me rolling!

And Victoria's no slouch either. She handled Elenore brutally. I have to say I enjoyed Jill Clayburgh almost as much as Sharon Stone.

The plot for this episode may not end up being very novel, but the dialog was fantastic. Those of you who stopped watching really missed out.

That was Jill Clyaburgh! OMG, she has aged! (Of course, I haven't seen her in anything in about 20 years or so...)

Yeah, I spotted her right away. But ever since seeing Griffin and Phoenix with Peter Falk, I've been a fan boy. I thought some of the look might be due to make-up for the roll. Of course I probably see her differently than you since she's only a few years older than me... :D

I just remember her from North Dallas Forty (?), the one with Kris Kristoferson and Mac Davis.

She looks like she's joining many Hollywood women and becoming Asian. ;)

I loved this episode too. The show has made a dramatic turn for the better. Betty White was awesome - when I'm an old lady that is the kind I want to be. :)

Note to self: When next meeting up with Pixel, wave high, nod, or tip cap... no handshakes...

I don't think mine recorded. Was it new?

Posted by: Corey140

Yes, it was.

HTH, I still have it on TiVo. Let me know if you would like a VHS copy.

Ah, you forget - in HTH's house, there is no spool.

:)

Good one. ;)

But I do have a VCR. Which currently makes it my only device that uses spools of magnetic tape (until I get the old reel-to-reel recorder here). The only only spools I have are either adhesive or thread.

But it could be that I'm just not checking the right TiVo. I'll have to check again tonight and get back to you.
