Welcome, Powering Up...

Got up yesterday morning and turned on my TV to watch while eating breakfast and there was the "Welcome, Powering up..." screen. Now, I thought this was weird since I have TiVo on a UPS and I don't remember the power being down at all(all clocks were fine).

I have a Series2 T-60(I think, # starts with 140) that was upgraded to include 2 120Gb WD HDD. I did the upgrade 5 months ago and it has been working great.

I popped the original HDD in and it booted up(currently connecting and processing the guide data).

What troubleshooting steps do I do to try and recover the scores of TV shows on the upgraded set?

Thanks,
Tim

Start by running the manufacturer's diagnostic and see how much function is left in the drive.

Same thing happened to me with the same model # about the same time???? Hmmmm???

Mine was all original untouched! I ordered a 344 replacement kit from weeknees and it does the same exact thing still??? Must be a hardware problem on my end.

Mine reboots when it disconnects from making a call...it gets through the initial boot phase?

fisherman........You have a glitch in the modem controller, and it causes a reboot when dialing due to a short out. You have to either replace the unit, or hack it to not need a phone line. Its common, and not coincidence. There is no reason to be using the modem really, if your big on PPV you can order from a different unit and watch record on that one, or use the web...........
