HMO with DirecTV?

I'm about to move, and I'm trying to decide Satellite (DirecTV) vs. Cable (Comcast) for my new residence. I have TiVo in my current house. I suspect I'll leave my series 2 receiver here.

Is HMO available with a DirecTV subscription? I looked at a DirecTV receiver at Good Guys yesterday, and it had USB ports, but the sales person didn't know anything about HMO.

I understand that DirecTV is much more TiVo-friendly than Comcast (for example, I'm told that HD TiVo has been announced for DirecTV, but that Comcast probably will not offer that. Is that correct as well?

Anything else I should consider?

No HMO yet if ever and the USB ports are disabled.
