Hello and thanks in advance for the help!

I have a Sony Series 1 with a HD upgrade and Network card from PTVUPGRADE.COM. I've purchased a new cached network card from 9thtee and want any suggestions on how to "swap" the cards software before just diving in...Has anyone upgraded?

Thanks again!

By the way, the folks at 9thtee and PTVUPGRADE.COM could not be any nicer or have better service...Anyone looking to upgrade should consider these great companies!

Tannis,

If you purchased a replacement drive kit from us after January 26th, 2004, the drive is already prepped with drivers for both TurboNet and CacheCard. See NetReady Information for more details and links to the area of our site where you can download additional tools and information.

If you installed the TurboNet card yourself (ie using Jafa's nic_install tools) and you would like to migrate to a CacheCard without removing the drive from your system and connecting to your PC, you can download the latest NetReady tools and install them with your TurboNet card in place. Then remove your TurboNet card, and replace with your CacheCard and all should work fine.

Do be certain to follow the instructions on the site carefully; if you mess up and can't get to your TiVo on the network, you'll need to reconnect the drive to your PC and start from scratch with nic_install.

Not really certain what you are specifically trying to accomplish, so if you can post more details, I can give you a more specific answer.

Thanks,
Lou

Lou - It worked like a charm...The get-well drive from you was recent, so it had the drivers...I just swapped the nic cards and ran the install from you site and it worked great!

The menus are amazingly fast - this is a great piece of technology!

Thanks again Lou and PTVUPGRADE.COM!!!

Kevin
