Hi Guys,
I finally got my Hughes HDVR2 drive upgraded and am extremely happy. My wife almost killed me over not having tivo 4 two days. Can anyone relate?
Anyway my next step is to network it. I currently have a Netgear Firewall/Router and want to use it if possible. I guess the dongle everyone talks about converts USB to RJ45? So in theory I shoulb able to just convert USB to RJ45 and plug into the router is this correct?

It will take some serious work to use the USB interface on your HDVR2, if it's even possible, since those ports aren't active. Search and review the information in this forum.

No, it is an actual USB ethernet adaptor.
