Hey all,

I just purchased a Tivo today, the DirecTV Philips DSR704 and I'm interested in networking it via USB Ethernet. From what I've seen in this forum, it seems the USB ports on this model are disabled by default. Could someone point me in the direction of a resource that would show me how to enable these ports so that I could use Ethernet?

Do a Google search as follows: +dsr704 +ethernet

It will lead you to a forum where such things are discussed, which they aren't here. The software mods to make this work are not trivial and you should carefully evaluate whether you want to risk them. You may also want to wait until your box is out of warranty.
