Please? Or at least a deletable offense. Or even put the more common ones in the naughty filter. Seems every third post is one of these, and it's really annoying.

Well...I hate to say it...but the people doing it are the same people your chat with daily, maybe you should ask them to stop the behavior. If I do it, you know then it is just another thing they will be upset about.

I thought about doing that, but I figured it would be too confrontational. I've had a bad track record for the last day or so.

I don't see what the problem is. Who cares if people make meaningless posts? Does post count really matter? I like it as an indicator of the activity of people, and someone with 6000 obviously participates alot more than someone with 600, but beyond that, who cares?

Limiting what people post in any way, when it isn't really affecting the value of the place, just pisses people off and makes for a downer.

Sure, stop people from swearing at each other, stop them from writing offensive material, that makes sense. But IBTL or IBTD? It is just an in-joke that obviously many people find funny. Why should that be stopped? It isn't like you are reading and posting in HH for productivity. It is a diversion, and the IBTL and IBTD, or IATL (JAP) are just part of the character of this place.
