The Apprentice - 2/26 (Spoilers, duh....)

I'm only about 20 minutes into it so far, but I have a question. Why aren't they trying to sell the water to grocery stores?

Posted by: TomK

Maybe there are no grocery stores in the area? Omarosa's idea of trying to sell one or two cases at a time was asinine. I want her fired ASAP please.

Posted by: mp2526

Yeah, I was thinkin no grocery stores in the area, other than the small mom and pop stores. Also, could be that grocery stores only go through established distribution channels. Just an few thoughts, I don't really know.

Posted by: Todd

Omarosa badly needs to go!!

Posted by: genearch

Yep.. grocery stores, cafeterias, schools. I was thinking they could setup a deal with a distributor. Cut him in and secure much larger comittments from the end users with upfront orders.

Posted by: FourFourSeven

I've given up on trying to figure out who will get voted out by the personalities of the people. Instead, I now look at how the story, as edited, is unfolding.

Pure conjecture, but notice how Nick is being turned into the villain here? Much like Omarosa was just before Sam left. Seems they always want to have one person portrayed as the villain, and one as the "villain-in-training." Makes me think Omarosa is going to go next week, and then Nick will take the mantle as the head villain.

Makes for good television - you get to cheer when one villain leaves, but you get to have another villain to root for.

Posted by: zyzzx

My theory is that Trump won't boot another guy until the number of each sex is about even. The women jumped out to such a big lead early on that we're now playing catch up to have equal numbers again. Notice how we've had four straight women fired since the integration of the sexes.

I think the players are too naive to realize that they are fired not for their business skills but for the drama of the show.

Troy is the man.

I'd say Bill and Troy are the only two so far that I can see winning. I'd love to vote for a woman, but no one stands out.

Another thing, Kwame should have made it into the chopper. Omarosa could have gone for the ride as cargo I suppose.

Posted by: zyzzx

Kwame sure is under the radar, isn't he? Did we hear from him at all tonight? He was practically invisible as edited this week.

Posted by: TomK

Besides enjoying the overall show, I'm enjoying watching in the hopes that Omarosa's team will lose and she'll get the big boot off the show. She is totally worthless but her team continues to win without her.

Posted by: Snappa77

I used to think that Omaroso wasn't that bad. For instanse the week Jessie went her WHOLE team put the blame on her but yet they all acted shocked and surprised that she got fired and not Omaroso.

However Lady 'O' needs to go after her performance this week and partly cuz of her "work" last week. She is very lucky her team has won. Her "ONE CASE" negotiating was infuriating to watch. I wanted Amy to kick her in the head not the leg. And that whole thing with the make up was really messed up. She sold 1 case after all that.

Bill should not have been in that final meeting. Katrina should have. Not a bad reflection on her mind you but compared to Bill she was the lesser of the two. Even if she was there it still would have been between Nick and Ereka.

Nick messed up BIG TIME. His refusal to look at the info of the client and his sales sucked. If Ereka didn't freak out then she would still be there. She had Nick dead to rights. He made ALOT of mistakes that she was fixing. But being flustered like the way she was at the end was hard to ignore. And her not selecting Katrina was bad also. Her excuse was pure B.S. and Kat didn't help her out either. Everyone in that room knew that Bill should have been the one to go back up to the suite.

The reward was interesting. I think they did that to cause some tension ( i.e. good TV). Heidi selected the right ppl. Can't wait for next week.:)

Gotta disagree. Amy is good - in a three-way decision between her, Bill and Troy (who are my other 2 favorites) I'm not sure who would win.

I think at this stage Trump has already decided who is weak and needs to go - he pretty much said that last night in the board room about Katrina. It'll be interesting to see what happens when they go to individual challenges (following the Survivor motif) - they can't continue as teams forever, right?

Posted by: Frylock

I disagree that they are voting off the least interesting people. Trump is actually voting off the dead weight from the show. Jesse is a great example. She's weak. So is Omarosa, and so is Kwame. There is a large drop-off between the rest of the pack and #3, Amy, and then a slight difference between her and #1 and #2, Troy and Bill, which are even at this point. Though I think in last night's episode, Troy pulled ahead. He was doubted and really now for 2 weeks has surprised people, first by snagging the apartment last week, and then showing he didn't have to use the country boy charm to close people on the sales. And his idea for the continued selling was a really good idea. He clearly has stepped up to the plate and gone above and beyond what I expected of him.

Did anyone else get the feeling that in the boardroom Trump, Caroline and George were deliberately "ganging up" on Erika (asking her rapid, unrelenting questions) just to see how she would take it? I thought that was the most entertaining part of the show.

Posted by: Todd

The answer to my original question was answered this morning on the Today show. The teams were given a list of who they could negotiate with to buy the water.

I just hope an article doesn't come out this week that says that the people on that list were "asked" to purchase water and at what price.

This is the only part I watched... so I agree it was the most entertaining.

What would have been really funny if she'd insulted Trump's associates to see how Donald would react:
"George I see the way you've been looking at me, are you some kind of pervert of something ... and Carolyn I don't know how you even observed what was going on with your nose so far up Trump's @ss"

The 'fight back' from her was amazing. I remember the 1st time someone interrupted him he gave them a verbal toungue lashing. Now it looks almost expected.

When Omarosa said 'I sold 2 cases' she acted like it was a big deal, did you see her all smiling? How in the world could someone in business be proud of that?maybe a 2nd grader but not her.

I think (edited Nick sorry) outright lied to trump about researching the distributor and trump saw thru it I'm sure.

Ok, I'm goofy (continuity talking here) but anyone notice the CAB numbers at the end of every show? I don't remember specifically the numbers but here's what I've observed. Last night when she got into the cab, it was one number, then in the shot after the commercial it was another number, then they cut to her then they cut back to outside the cab she was riding it and it was yet another number. So within 1 min, they showed us 3 different cab numbers and expected us to think she was in there! liars!! LOL I guess they use the same shots over and over?

yet another dishonest apprentice moment ;)

Yes, the shot of the cab taking off from the curb is usually the same shot from episode to episode. I noticed that very early on.

It was all editing. The best boardroom question from Trump was when he asked Bill, "Who would you fire?" I think Bill's waffling dropped him a few points in Trump's eyes - firing is a part of corporate life for executives and you have to be able to make the decisions. Bill would have been better served by reflecting and making a choice with reasonable rationale.

The other contestants had best be ready for this same question. I'm sure it'll come up again.

Posted by: pmyers

I think it was stupid of Erika to tell Bill and Nick that she was putting them up and giving them time to emotionally/physically/mentally prepare. She would have been better off going in there and surprising them and make them speak "off the cuff".

I'd hope he expected it after two people have been fired for either not fighting back or not standing up for themself.

I'm sure you mean Nick here, pointing this out so your point is clear to others

I pointed out to my wife that the "4N44" number had been used before in one of the early episodes. I didn't know if it was the same cab used again or the same shot used again.

that they always got the green light was a give away eh?

Posted by: YCantAngieRead

I never noticed the cab thing, but then again, I've only recently started watching the whole episode as opposed to just fast-forwarding to what looked interesting.

Omarosa makes me want to go and kill her, and I'm not a violent person. If I had been Amy, I'd have kicked her in the head.

My prediction is that Amy and Troy will make it to the end. Troy's incredible at thinking on his feet. By the way, in the previews for next week, did it seem like Omarosa was a project leader?

Posted by: pmyers

My prediction for the final 4 are: Amy, Troy, Nick, and Omorosa with Amy or Troy winning it.

Posted by: pdvale

I thought Erika and Nick we kind of equaly at fault. Nick with his dialogue as to how selling is his bag.... that distributer would not have bought a fire extinguisher from Nick if his own pants had been on fire... Nick thought he was too good for this task but failed badly. I was hoping he would go..

Erika was scrambling at the end and made a bad decision to let the others know her boardroom tactics...

I finally figured out this show. It was fairly obvious with the last two episodes but Omorosa is The Mole. That is the only way to explain how poorly she has done in the last couple of challenges.

Posted by: Groucho

I think Omorosa is only pretending to be the Mole in order to throw off the other contestants. I think Kwame is the Mole...he's trying to hard to fly "under the radar."

Posted by: faerie

The Mole? Please explain...

They think that one of the players may be a plant by Trump. I personally don't think thats the case.

I could be mistaken and if I am, I'm sure someone will quickly point it out, but... Wasn't Kwame nonexistent in the last episode b/c his team had more people and someone had to sit out, a la Survivor challenges? My wife told me this, but she could be full of it. ;)

I don't think so.

You've noticed this too? I am enjoying the show, but I much more enjoying the assigned projects than the board room. The firing process seems like it's just on Trump's whim, and he makes up some reason why this person should be voted off instead of another. Like the week one of the contestants was voted off because "she didn't defend herself" rather than really doing something wrong during the project. My gut feeling is that before the boardroom meeting, the producers sit Trump down in a room and they decided who should be fired (of course depending on who is selected by the PM). I really believe it's pre-determined. Why else would a screw up like Amarosa still be there? She's entertaining, that's why.

In fact there's even a disclaimer at the end of the show which states that the firings are discussed with the producers prior to the actual firing.
