Does anyone actually write the word "signed" as the closing of a letter or note? At first I was convinced that it was a fake note because of that, almost like a kid signing a forged sick note for school "Johnny's mom." Then I thought why would the forger be any more likely to sign it that way.

In any case, is it just me or do people actually write "signed, [your name]?"

I realize that legally she's not, but I can't help thinking the mom was just as responsible for the dad being killed as the son. Neither had intent, but the kid provided the opportunity, the mom provided the motive.

By the way, do women usually show as much cleavage at work as Calleigh does? Not that I mind or anything, I just know it would be a distraction to me if the women at my office dressed like that. I'm just curious, I've never worked anywhere where that was common or if it's just eye candy for ratings purposes. Even without the gratuitous overhead shots she still shows a lot of cleavage.

No, women usually don't show as much cleavage at work as Calleigh does. Or Horatio's SIL. Or Catherine Willows on CSI: Vegas. Or Karen Sisco on Karen Sisco. Or any female character on daytime and nighttime soaps. It's all eye candy.

Bring on the eye candy!!! :D :D

That's one unrealistic detail you won't catch me complaining about.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining. Just wondering if I wasn't in the wrong line of work :D

Oh, I wasn't implying that you were complaining about it. I was just thinking of all the threads with people (me included) nitpicking the various unrealistic things that happen in TV shows and decided that even though it's not very realistic for a CSI to be hot and wear cleavage-baring clothes, I'm not going to complain about it. ;)

Definitely seemed unrealistic to me. On CSI:CSI last week (I think, I've been behind lately) Warrick was giving Greg a hard time about showing up for work in messy jeans and t-shirt attire (after being called out of bed to the scene). I'd have to think if they cared about that, they'd care about the cleavage as it would be rather distracting. Of course, I'd simply do my best to concentrate on my job, remain professional, and enjoy the view...

I thought she'd ended the affair a couple of months before. Yeah, she made a mistake, but since she ended it to stay with her husband, I don't derrive any motivation for the killer from that.

Oh, and as Vice President of the TCF Cleavage Club, two thumbs up here.

I'm just saying her actions provided the motive. Not intentionally, but neither did the son intend for the dad to be killed. Actually - I don't remember for sure, but did the kid even want them to beat up the dad? Couldn't they have just broken in during the night and smashed up the cases?

Either way, I'm simply saying that both she and the son did something wrong that led, unintentionally, to the dad's death. The son's just happened to be illegal. I guess she was less responsible than the kid, since she didn't give any indication that she wanted the husband dead (she said she loved him and would never leave him). But the husband would still be alive if she hadn't had the affair - and not by coincidence.

Yes, the kid simply wanted that guy to break in while the family wasn't home and steal a few things so when the parents noticed all the other stuff missing that he had already stolen, they would blame it on the burglary. The lover was recruited inadvertantly and it was his idea to do it while they were home and to cause harm to them.

Neither of them had intentions of the dad being killed but the kid was definitely mor responsible than the mom.

At one point near the end the kid says something like "We weren't even supposed to be there!" which implies that the "break-in" was supposed to occur sometime when no one was home.

Of course they do and if you had ever seen Welcome Back, Kotter you'd know this. Example: "Please excuse Epstein from missing school yesterday but he had stomach cancer. Signed Epstein's Mother." :D
