I don't know if anyone else is noticing BUT the TV networks are making some changes that is really affecting the current software on most DVR's.

They are having shows starting AND ending just outside of :30 and :60 min blocks. For example, a show may start at 5:59 and end at 7:01. If you really wanted this show bad it will force you to cancel the recording of the 5 and 7 o'clock shows.

I've attached a large (174kb) jpg of an article I found (zoom in, it is readable).

Could the software be changed so I could choose which show I wanted to "trump" the other shows BUT still record the other shows with the few missing minutes on either end. That still would be better than not deleting the show in its entirety.
