Game Over ...That's what I'd say too.

Well, Game Over on UPN was aptly named, as I doubt the show will last more than a few rounds on UPN Wednesdays. I am not sure why I even gave it a chance; the concept sounded bad from the beginning, but I did, and it was bad. Just bad. According to this article at The Futon Critic, it provided UPN with some of the worst first-run numbers of the season. Did anyone else catch this abomination? Game Over indeed.

Unfortunately, I sort of watched it. That is, there was nothing on my TiVo to watch, so I turned it on and went back to work on my computer while I waited for American Idol. What I did see of it was extremely lame.

I watched it. It was ok. Interesting concept. I hope they do more with the son, but downplay the pet. Ugh. I'll probably check it out again, especially while it doesn't conflict with too much.

Not yet, but I'll give it a few look-sees despite the bad press and low ratings. If it becomes a cult classic, I wanna be in on the ground floor this time. :)

I liked the concept and was excited to see it, but the premiere was disappointing. The animation was good, except for the lip sync, and had a real video game feel; but the writing was pretty bad. There were some funny moments. I haven't SP'ed it but will give it one more chance next week.

I thought the story was not very funny or interesting. Without a good story, I don't care about the rest of it.

We watched it too - loved Patrick Warburton (looking forward to hearing his voice again on new Family Guy eps... and plus he's on Less Than Perfect - Tues. on ABC)... But overall, this show won't make it. I did enjoy picking out the voices though. Could of sworn the policman was Seth McFarlane. Wasn't listed, though.

Kingdom hospital was unfortunantly better than this mess.

I liked it. I could see where it was rough in places, but that's true of nearly every series' first episode. I'm keeping the SP, if nothing else but to watch for the background stuff and pop-culture references (as I do with Tripping the Rift).

I like the concept, but it seems the creators made the mistake of thinking a good family sitcom is easy.

The show got bogged down in a lot of attempts at hackneyed family sitcom bits (like "Dad can't understand his teenage kids" and "dealing with a new family member who has an in-your-face attitude") when it should have been focusing on its premise.

The funniest bit to me was when Mrs. Smashenburn manages to recover the relic from the cave only to be greeted by picketers protesting grave robbing.

I'll probably give this show one more chance -- but just one.

Not only does it fall into the same category at Tripping the Rift (cool references, neat animation, no idea if it will improve enough to survive), both shows also feature Howard Stern sidekicks. I have to say that Artie does a far better job than John.

TTR seems like it could become a sort of adult Futurama (with gratuitous jiggle), while Game Over will have to hope that the videogame references are enough to prop up a fairly weak/generic storyline.

Still, I'm sticking with both for a bit longer to see what develops.

Hmm, looks like it will be on this weekend for me.
