We have only had TiVo for about 6 months now and are completely addicted. We recently added two additional receivers, but they're regular receivers not DTiVo's. After working out and watching one of the TV's on the regular DirecTV receiver, my partner says: "This is terrible, I find myself wanting to rewind the TV down here to catch things I missed. And, you know, I find myself wanting to do this with radio too!" I had to laugh and admit that I had the same urges to rewind live radio. Too funny! I think we're addicted! :D

What's truly terrible is to be sitting in a restaurant/bar and search for the remote so you can rehear something on the TV. The downside to TiVo addiction is the shorting and dulling of your attention span because you know you can always review what you miss. ;)

It only gets worse. But at least you've completed the first step. You've gotten through the denial thing. ;)

I'm forever reaching for the remote to replay something that I'm watching on my HD receiver. Come on HDTiVo.:D

Oh, I start to lunge towards the radio at least once every time I'm in the car - then logic surpasses instinct and I realize there's no darn button to push that'll rewind! Luckily NPR archives a lot of their shows online so I can look it up later if it's something I really wanted to hear.

At least I've yet to grab for some imaginary remote to hear what a speaking person in front of me said again!

I use a product called Total Recorder from High Criteria to record National Public Radio from the internet to my MP3 player for my commute on the subway. It even allows me to skip whole segments. It's almost as cool as TiVo in its own way.

Wait until you try and 30-sec skip your boss!!
