The only way Jackie can have any success with this situation is to simply play the game as if they were all straight, choose the one she likes best at the end and hope he's not gay. Obviously the show's producers have picked gayish-straight men and straightish-gay men and she will find it nearly impossible to actually figure anything out--unless she starts getting very physically involved with some of the men and things stop progressing after a certain point--if you get my drift!

It was nice to see our old friend, Daphne Brogdan, hosting the show.

I can't stand the girl, and it's not because I'm gay :)

I almost kicked in the TV twice:

1. When she acted shocked that there was a twist - hello? IT's a reality show on FOX, did she really think it was going to be just an ordinary dating show?

2. When she made the comment about the gay guys only being in it for the money. What about the straight guys in it for the $500,000? Yea, that's no motivation to try to win her over whether they really like her or not.

I loved it that she kicked out 2 straight guys...

I watched this too. That girl is an idiot. I hope she kicks off all the straight guys, and one of the gay ones wins the money.

Who's to say she knew the show would be on Fox? I'd suspect she was just told she would be on a dating show, not a dating show on Fox. That would've obviously sent up red flags. Then again, most dating shows nowadays have some sort of twist...

My first pick for obvious gay guy: the dude with all the muscles. He seems to fit the mold of not being gay, so he probably is.

More to the point: what was her motivation for coming on the show? Did she actually think she was going to find love in front of a frigging camera? (I have to confess that I did not see the show).

On anther note: just as I think Fox has gone as low as it could possibly go they manage to dig a bit deeper! (again! I did not see the show. But the concept! THE CONCEPT!)

I'm halfway through it now. I think so far it's much better than Boy Meets Boy was... maybe it's tighter editing.

But it got me thinking... it would be sorta funny if they all were straight and the twist is just making everyone think some of them are gay. ;)

P.S. there are many gay men with muscles dr_mal. Have you ever caught the news after the gay pride parade in CO (I KNOW they must have one)? I am SURE there are an assortment of gay muscle boys on those floats! Take a look next time.

The disclaimer they run at the beginning makes me wonder if we're hearing the truth when the guys say whether they're gay or straight as they leave. I suspect at some point there's a chance to recall one guy who was removed earlier, and she'll be told they might have been lying when they left. ;)

I do believe Luciano is gay. I also believe Gust is gay or he is a paid plant.

I read in the Southern Voice that the creator has lots of gay friends and that they told everyone there would be a twist and that all the guys were told before they started filming AND that they were all (her included) told they could leave if they had a problem w/ the concept. So... no bitching...

Oh, I'm not disputing that at all. I'm just saying that just like Gust fit the stereotype of a gay guy but wasn't, that Mr. All-American Muscleboy may be the opposite -- looks like your stereotypical Mr. Tough Guy but is really gay. (Not to say gays can't be tough -- I'm working with stereotypes here, work with me :))

Actually, as soon as I read this thread I went to the website and I would have to say that NOT ONE of those men looked like a stereotypical Mr. Tough Guy. But I will take your word for it.

I watched it and they all look like they could be gay, like someone mentioned earlier, straights that look/act slightly gay and gays that look/act slightly straight. Since they all look like they could be this or that, I will let those who might enjoy this type of show watch it.

I have a brother whos gay and unless he tells anyone they do not know.

With the 2 Straights leaving, that means 7 to 7. I didn't even try to do that, it just worked out. But of course we have no idea how many of each are there.

Rumors:
Eddie is a regular at a gay gym in South Beach
Sharif and Chad are regulars the Velvet Nation in DC (alternative club, not all-gay, so that leaves things up in the air a bit)
