During the opening couch scene, did they finally reveal where they lived? When they panned out it looked to be in great lakes region.

Even if they did, they'd just contradict it later. There's enough conflicting information on where Springfield is that you can never pin it down.
I will say, the couch sequence from tonight's episode is now my favorite of them all. I was pretty impressed until the end, and then Homer said "Wow", and I lost it.

Yes, the intro was definately the best of them all. The episode wasn't really good plotwise, but it was one of the funniest, especially the first 15 minutes.

I enjoyed it. The second half of this season has been very funny, a much needed improvement over the first half of the season. Hopefully this will be a harbinger of next season....
Best scene: Selma dragging Artie off to her "Temple of Doom".
Second best: Artie walking into Moe's and seeing the other characters that Jon Lovitz has voiced.
Interestingly, the TiVo guide got the episode wrong by saying Artie was "Homer's relative." Ah, well.

I liked the fact that the Congressional hearing for ZiffCo showed Krusty... a subtle nod to the episode a few seasons back when Krusty became a Senator.
It wasn't one of the best episodes, but it's certainly one of the funnier ones of this season (to say nothing of the shows from the last few years).

I also liked all the Jon Lovitz characters in the bar.

Oh, was *that* what they had in common? I totally missed that one, in that case.

I liked "You're in the Matrix Charlie Brown" and "A Matrix Christmas". Something about Neo with a Santa hat was just too funny. :)
I got a kick out of the blair witch bit with Lisa in the attic, even if it's a few years out of date. ;)
