Latest Hack 3/13? Spoilers

That's the problem with TiVo, you're never quite sure what date a show airs, without going back to look! :D

So, anyone still watching?

Anyone finally, finally glad our knight in shining armor finally got some amour?

I thought this was a pretty well done ep. Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard spot. And we didn't have to put up with any of Marcellus's whining about his soon to be ex-wife's life choices...

I just watched it, good episode. I heard that this was the last episode and CBS won't be renewing it next season :(

I have a friend that messages me a lot of CBS info he reads all the sites and news groups and gets ratings data etc. He sent me this on Sunday.

quote:
Wow, I don't watch "Hack" so I wouldn't know. CBS apparently aired the series finale of "Hack" yesterday. Some people were bitching on the rec.arts.tv newsgroup that there was no wrap-up.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. It was the lowest rated show on CBS.

I do think last season was much better than this season and they definitely wrapped last season up nicely. I was kind of ticked off last year because they totally wrapped up Hack but left The Agency at a cliff hanger moment and they canceled the Agency and continued on with Hack. The way they did this season they should of ended Hack on a good ending last year and had one more year of the Agency. Oh well it's just a TV show.

Wow, I didn't realize it was ending. I know this forum might not be a great sampling, but there's so few people responding to Hack threads, there must be a correlation there.

I guess I can buy Mike spending the night with Liz as kind of a wrap up. I don't know what else they could have done.

I really liked Hack last year, this year was just ok. This season the ratings really dropped I guess, it's to bad it could of been better. I miss the Wife and kid, they played a big part of the story. The priest was one of my favorite characters, anyone know why he left?

I watch every CBS prime time show from 8pm to 11pm 7 days a week except the 20/20 news type shows. It's my favorite network. They just started two new series this past week I have to check out in the next few days. I wish I could get CBS HD!

Interesting thoughts about the priest leaving. I wonder if any of the generally bad Catholic press last year had something to do with that. Coupled to the fact that he admitted serious feelings for the lady, don'r remember her name, that was married, but was his high school sweet heart.

As I think back, I think the show meandered quite a bit. Remember all the stuff about his father? Then they killed him off too.

I wish they'd have kept Bebe Neworth around, she was interesting.

Yup, it was a whole different show this season. The priest had the gambling problem and had to deal with the loan shark and the drinking problem and the girl he had feelings for. That was quite a few episodes worth. Also like you said Mike and his dad, then Mike had that other girl he was with for a while. This season they basically started over with a whole new caste except the Mike and Marcellus. Oh yeah and a few episodes with his son in it but not many. I don't know why they made such a huge change. Last year the whole season had a plot, was he going to jail for what he did and would he get back with his wife, you where always in suspense and it was good TV. They ended it nicely by Marcellus getting Mike out of trouble and well not so nicely with his wife moving away with that other guy. I was hoping they would get back together but I guess you can't always have a Hollywood ending :D . This year there was really nothing to keep people coming back each episode was a different story and really nothing that was ongoing. There aren't even enough episodes for it to go in syndication so it could just be shelfed after this.

You're right. I think the only continuous thread was the sexual tension between Mike and Liz. And I don't think that started right away.

It also seemed to heat up and boil over all in the last episode.

I don't have much hope this will come back. Perhaps it's better that it just fade into black... they did turn the bedroom light off as they faded to black, right? :D

I'm not sure about the light, I already deleted it. I know they faded away from the bedroom scene so probably. I guess they live happily ever after now. :D I hope they have a good show to replace it next year. I hear CSI New York is coming. If Century City that just premiered last week in The Guardians spot makes it they may move The Guardian to Saturday night because it has a low rating. They seem to move all the lowest rated shows to Saturday Night because they don't get as many viewers then. My problem with that is less viewers means the ratings are going to drop even more so its inevitable for the show to be dropped. I'm surprised the District made it through. Do you watch many other CBS shows?
