Ok... First Posting here.
I have a very old Tivo Series1. (Bought mine early)
My modem on my tivo died.
So I got a TurboNet wired card (wish I had gotten a wireless card instead)
I installed the card into the machine.
When the machine boots the TurboNet card lights up.
Now My System has the 3.0 software
Yet the ,#401 code doesn't seem to work
When I do the test Phone connection it tells me "Failed, Line Unavailable."
And the Dhcpd server is not seeing any request for an IP address from the tivo
I know I am missing something very simple here, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, I should delete this thread, being that I got it to work. But I decided to leave it incase someone else has the same problem.
It turns out the turbonet card was not compeletly in.
From putting pc together I always learned to "not force the card in"
This was not the case. I really had to force that card in. If you see any "gold" between the card and the motherboard, the card is not in all the way

had you removed the foot beneath the motherboard of the unit prior to installing the card, you wouldn't have needed to 'force' it either. let this serve as an example to others installing these cards and here is a helpful link to hardware installation instructions (see step 12) to help out in future situations (hopefully).

I have the same problem, network card lights up, card is in all the way, my test dial out has no problem
So I do a test call and it succeeds but doesn't download anything. Any ideas? Do I need to power cycle or something?
EDIT: Nevermind, after rebooting it, it finally worked and it's loading the data right now.

Cool thanks didn't know you had to remove the foot
Never actually saw the directions on how to do it
(BTW after you put the card in, you can put the foot back on, without glue. It actually seems to help keep the card from moving)
