Airline 3/15 - Spoilers Inherant

I thought the couple was funny, the girl started crying and the guy totaling nutted them over by renegging. But it was still funny to see her degenerate. How about the soldier who got wasted and his friend had to go looking for him for 3 hours...Maybe they should let the boys drink every now and then.

My thoughts:

Army guy looking for his friend:
So, how'd he 'lose' him? If he was that drunk, how far could he go?
And what was with the girl? just some random person wandering about the airport before her flight?

Older guy who left gate area before flight:
So, did he get back to the gate after the flight had closed or not? He mentioned something about sitting there for '5 or 6 minutes', which to me, with SWA saying the flight closes 2 minutes before, seems plenty of time to get boarded.

Couple looking for rapid rewards switch:
You know, I thought they were fairly close physically to the guy they made the deal with, but then she started ragging on him? Did she forget how close he was to them?

Soccer team:
Dunno what to say about this one.. didn't really leave an impression on me.

People on board dark airplane:
So why did they leave the airplane with their stuff onboard? I'm not sure I follow... did the lights break in flight and they landed at the original landing point and then made everyone get off? Heck, I'd take my bag with me because that's where I have my books to read while I'm sitting.

People that got split up on the way back to phoenix:
Well, at the end someone said that they got there 12-13 minutes before departure.. so I guess the flight was overbooked, and first come, first serve (as they say)

Yea and amazing how she thought HE owed her for them wanting to bend the rules. She should have been more thankful and tactful when trying to ellicit a favor from a total stranger. I'm sure he did take it as an opportunity to have fun with her on camera though.

I think they need to do casino next (yes I know it's coming in June).
/ off topic hijack/ But I was just in Atlantic city and man some of the old folks are nuts. Given the census there was 90% older when I visited so you can't help but run into them. But some get soooo pushy behind you in line for food. It's just a peeve of mine. One had the nerve to say to me, there's space open up in front of you, move up. When it was obvious there was no way that was going to help move the line plus i didn't get my donut yet. She also cut in front of us (by yelling at the clerk behind the counter) so got her food 1st but no way was I letting her pay before us.

When I confronted her and said she was impatient and that she was rude for getting her food before us, she said no she wasn't. I told he she was bumping my wife and I and continually making comments to herself that the line wasn't moving etc. Amazingly her daughter never defended her because no doubt this happened a lot or she knew I was right. It was an upleasant enough experience listening to her mumble and bitch for 20 minutes, but getting her food 1st then expecting to cut in front of us really pissed me off. Oh and somehow people expect that if they continually get out of line and look around other people, it will help things move fast. It doesn't! Geez um. Just wait in line and it will be your turn

/on topic, sorry

The guy that went out for a smoke on the show should be ashamed of himself for putting smoking over his kid's operation. if something is that important to you, you should be more careful and ensure you are right on that plane.

What I thought was funny about the SW rewards ticket girl is that she was talking smack about the guy (who was doing her a favor that would not benefit him at all) within earshot of him... what did she expect to occur.

Who knows what happened to his buddy? He says he probably had too much to drink. I will tell you one thing, you can't say he didn't look hard enough for him. Finally at the end the guy puts in a big lipper and says "see you in Iraq..." by that time I felt like I was the one walking around the entire airport.

I've been travelling by air since the Seventies pretty regularly, and I don't remember seeing anyone too drunk to fly. Ever, period. Yet each week there seems to be an inebriated person trying to fly Southwest (my airline of choice when possible).

Did they put out a casting call for winos?

I have seen 2 women miss their planes and stagger up to the counter pissed about it on Delta. I also have a friend who was high on pills who attacked a passenger on an international flight and didn't remember it. When they landed FAA agents were waiting for him to arrest him. He somehow talk his way out of it... by proving he was inebriated on medicine that he was given in the foreign country.

The ticket swap thing seemed to be a bit of bad editting. They were asking for help and suddenly we hear that the guy offering the swap wanted a whole bunch of conditions. Seemed we missed something (or maybe they didn't get it on camera?).

It was strange anyway. The guy didn't want to let SW know they were doing it (probably thought the airline would say "no") yet they were talking about it on camera!

The girl should have just gotten a SWA person to tell him it was okay rather than melt down.
