bought a new hughes series 2 tivo on ebay and when i recieved it, it worked for a day then menu started locking up where nothing on remote or front of box would do anything. i sent it back, he reimaged the hard drive and reshipped to me. well it did the same thing worked fine for a day then says looking for sat signal sometimes then just locks up. it has the original drive just been modified for lifetime tivo. i know its not the card or the signal due to 3 other boxs working on dish. any idea on what could be wrong that maybe i can take care of it myslf instead of shipping it off agai

Locking up probably isn't a hard drive fault. If it is the hard drive, I would expect the drive manufacturer's diagnostic to pick it up. I would think there's a fault on the motherboard.
