Two Guys Garage -- Phasing out Dave?

I don't know if there's anyone else here who watches "Two Guys Garage" on Speed Channel, with Dave Bowman and Sam Memmolo (who previously did pretty much the same show under the name "Crank & Chrome", and possibly others, on TNN back when it was still The Nashville Network). The most recent shows have had their "next-door neighbor", Dave McBride, involved almost every week -- while Dave Bowman is out "picking up parts", etc.

Is it just me, or are they preparing to phase out Dave Bowman and replace him with Dave McBride? I've wondered if Bowman was wanting to retire or something.

Noticed that as well..

Q: Do you manually record on Sunday AM too? I think that's the 1st run episode of the week. Otherwise, I get tons of dupes...

Rather than try to guess which one is new, I just go ahead and use a standard SP. Then I watch the first 30 seconds and see if it's a repeat -- if so, I just delete it. I really wish Speed would provide *accurate* program listings (when they were listing show descriptions in the past, they were usually wrong).

I used to watch it on occasion as Shadetree Mechanic and Crank & Chrome. Seems like to be a total infomercial since it became Two Guys Garage.

Dave McBride?

Yeah, it's really blatant. In fact, I've been of the opinion that they keep changing show names so that when all of the suckers buy up the logo merchandise, they get to fleece them all over again.

If you would have seen him before, he was the "next door neighbor" mechanic who kept borrowing tools and never returning them (or some such nonsense). About Sam's height, and almost completely bald.
