SISTER ACT: Alias has tapped actress Mia Maestro (Frida) to play Sydney's kid sis in at least three episodes beginning April 25.

Anyone have any scoop about this new branch of Syd's family tree?

I'm sticking to the official story, that Syd is Jack's daughter and not Sloane's.

Hang on there. This just absolutely begs for a seriously cool plot twist.

1) Syd will always be Jack's daughter. He raised her, loves her, and she has reached a point where the love is returned. Biological or not, Jack is her dad.

2) Lets say Sloan is her father. The new sister simply has to be from a union between Sloan and any other woman. That could be a woman who's someone with an inherently evil background, to someone as wonderfully beautiful in mind and spirit as Emily was.

There is so much to play off here, that I can't see it going any other way. We even have the basic nature vs nurture debate to fall into if Sloan is the father of both, and the sister shows up working for the Covenant.

They're going to kill off Lauren very soon. We're going to need an evil hottie to replace her!

I just read about this in today's newspaper. It says that the sis will more than likely be a regular next year.

Is there a place out there that keeps a Bristow family tree?

Syd is Irina's daughter. Sloane might be Syd's father. But as far as we know Jack is. Then there's this sister thing coming up. If the sister is from Irina then there's still the possibility that Jack is Syd's father and the sister is her half sister from Sloane or someone else.

Or the sister is half and Sloane is the father with an unknown woman which means that Sloane is Syd's father.

It's still possible that Sark is in the picture to be a relative since we only know his father was Lazaree. His mother could be Irina and Sark is Syd's half brother.
