SCIFI miniseries

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I saw on SCIFI last night that they are going to be playing a bunch on their miniseries in April. I haven't spent a lot of time on their website before, but I just spent the last hour trying to find out which ones they will be showing. I saw mention of the Dune remakes and Gullivers travels. I have seen both of those.
Does anyone know what other miniseries they will be showing?
Any recommendations as to which ones are worth watching?

I missed this the last go-around. Is it any good? Is it worth taking up valuable Tivo real estate?

The Martian Chronicles are running this Sunday.
Robin Cook's Invasion
Taken
Merlin
Dean Koontz Mr. Murder - April 3
Gullivers Travel - April 4
The Beast
Ultraviolet - Recommended by me. ;-) it was a British vampire mini series
Firestarter Rekindled
Robocop Prime Directives
The Odyssey
Dune / Children of Dune - April 11
Magical Legend Of The Leprechaun
Peter Benchley's Creature
Stephen King's The Shining
Stephen King's Storm Of The Century
House Of Frankenstein
Stephen King's It
Salem's Lot

SciFi ScheduleBot is a little annoying but usable.

Dune / Children of Dune wasn't bad, and follows the books more closely than the David Lynch movie. I enjoyed it.

Big Daddy, Gulliver's travels wasn't bad. I enjoyed it.
Win Bear, thanks for the list.

Dune was good. I forgot, I rented that.
Any other recommendations?

What, no 'V'?

I really wish someone would rerun this, and the SciFi miniseries month would have been ideal.

Of course, my memories maybe somewhat rose-tinted, and so perhaps not seeing it again is the best way to preserve a good memory.

They're replaying Prime Directives! Excellent, I really enjoyed that.

Was going to recommend "Odyssey 5" but realized it was "The Odyssey"... *sigh*... oh well.

Gee, I have seen all the ones I wanted to see and the new ones don't sound interesting to me.

I've got the Score from Children of Dune playing right now. One of the best theatrical scores I've ever heard. The miniseries wasn't half bad either--it's a SUID on the TiVo.

The first one, though, was pretty miserable. It is more accurate to the books in some ways, but in a lot of little things, the extended "Alan Smithee" version of the Lynch film was the more accurate of the two.

The "V" miniseries still reruns on the Action Movie Channel semi-regularly on DirecTV. It's still good. :)

The only SciFi miniseries that I'm really jonesing to see again is the new remake of Battlestar Galactica, and that's not listed. :(

There looks to be a lot of crap in there, but be sure to catch Ultraviolet. It's a great watch (with Jack Davenport from Coupling), somewhat scary, and they never call them vampires :-)

I second Ultraviolet. I bought that DVD set blind and it was one of the best blind purchases I ever made. I really wish they'd made a second series of it.
