Cold Case - DirectTV 3/28 West Coast

Hi,

My wife and I just started to watch Cold Case this evening and it appeared that it was a repeat of one of the early episodes ('love conquers al'). So, we fast forwarded to end just to make sure and for the life of us didn't recognize the ending.
Thinking we had had too much to drink and it would be new to us all over again, we started watching, but recognized the episode, until 15 minutes in when there was a sudden scene change and we were in this week's brand new (we presume) episode! WTF????

Did anyone else experience this or are we both clinically insane?

FYI, we are in the SF Bay Area, watching on DirectTV.

Right there with you...

Started with about 2 minutes of the new episode "Resolutions"... Then about 10 minutes or so of a repeat episode involving the death of a female high school track athlete... Then swapped back to the first-run episode until the end...

Strange...very strange... Fortunately, it wasn't too hard to understand the story's context...

I almost deleted this. It is a good thing I kept it on my TiVo, I thought the entire thing was a re-run. I knew it was suppose to be new.

I had the same problem and this is the email that I received from cbs:

Same thing happened to me with cable in SoCal, but I got all repeat for the first 14 minutes (no set-up at all). I'm glad I ffed to the end to make sure, because I was sure confused! Anyway, I understood the basic premise after about 10 minutes into the switch.

I just finished watching it all the way through.

At some point, just after commercial, possibly 10 to 15 minutes in, there is a banner that comes across the top of the screen, it repeats one time.

Something to the effect that CBS apologizes for airing the beginning of a repeat episode. We are now showing the correct episode.

I haven't been a long time viewer, so I didn't notice that it was initially a repeat, but I was pretty confused until reading the banner message. Thank goodness they didn't show the banner only during commercial, I'd have missed it from ff'ing.

I saw the changeover at 14:02 into the program. No banner on KPIX.
