Old Episodes of JAG

I've gotten re-interested in this show, and have been TiVo'n every one I can get. I'm not sure what season they're from, but, I think it's USA, is running them in sequence.
Mac is currently engaged to Mick, when ever that went on.
Anyway, last week was the episode where the Admiral goes away and leaves Harm in charge. First thing he does is lean back in the Admiral's chair, falls over and bumps his head.
For the rest of the episode we're treated to his visions of Mac in various stages of dress, dress-up, and undress.
Man oh man, Catherine Bell is one major hottie!!!

I remember that one VERY well. Harm should hit his head more often. I always think about watching some of those old JAGs myself, but I just have too much new stuff on my TiVo right now. Maybe if I start running out of stuff this summer.

I've always wanted to get into JAG, partly because it looked like a good show, and partly because Catherine Bell is HOT. I've tried to start at the beginning, but I can't tell where that is. I've seen listings for some episodes with different characters, did the stars change at one point?

The show was originally on NBC. It was cancelled, and picked up by CBS, with some cast changes.

The first season (the only one on NBC) had Tracey Needham (blonde) as Harm's partner. Catherine Bell played his deceased girlfriend for one minute in the season finale -- which has been aired only once in the U.S.*
The second season (the first of eight on CBS), they replaced Needham with Bell as her Mac character.
Only Harm has been a lead character in all nine seasons. Chegwidden was a recurring guest star in the second half of the first season. Bud appeared in the series pilot and the first season's finale as a guest star.
All of this comes from a superb source of info on TV shows: http://www.tvtome.com/ . It has a complete list of episodes and extensive summaries (SPOILER ALERT!).
*This was the first part of a cliffhanger episode that was to have concluded at the beginning of Season 2. But NBC canceled the show before part 2 was filmed. So part 1 was never aired on NBC. It was aired once, in 1999, on USA -- and hasn't been repeated. Remember -- it's a cliffhanger that has never been resolved. Who would want to watch that? Much of the footage was used in a Season 3 episode, but edited so heavily as to change the original storyline entirely.)

This is one of my favorite shows. There are 2 season storylines running at the moment on USA. One track airs in the mornings during the week, and the second plot line plays at 7pm during the week on USA. If you have the room and the time, you should be able to catch up relatively quickly.

Maybe it's a time zone thing? I'm getting a series at 4pm weekdays. Yesterday was Mac & Mick's engagement party the Admiral threw, with all the flashback trips for Harm & Mac.
At the end, when the Admiral brought out the cake, they were touching hands despite the fact that Mick was on the other side of Mac, and what's her name was on the other side of Harm.
I've seen the current shows, and know Mac did not marry Mick. But I'm dying to find out how they played out the story!
Ok, dying in the sense that I'm anxious to see all the episodes!

Which track is earlier in the series? I'd like to start as early as I can.

Speaking of dying, the actor who played Mick died last year

You're right. Here is the thread where Trevor Goddard's apparent suicide was discussed. I never heard a final ruling as to whether it was indeed a suicide. A shame. I just watched the two-parter "Boomerang," where they went to Australia. Good stuff.

I finally started to watch JAG for the first time when USA started over at the beginning of season one. I have been very impressed with the story lines and the overall quality of the show.
What is driving me crazy though, is USA's scheduling of the 7AM episodes. For some reason they skipped most of season two and part of season three, missing about 15 episodes. Then they skip half of season four and start in on the second half of a two-parter in season five, missing 13 episodes.
And now, this week, they are finishing up season five, then skipping season six entirely, going right to season seven.
What's up with that?
When will this stuff be on DVD?

tvshowsondvd.com has no info about JAG. I'm hoping USA gets back to the really early episodes by this summer when I'll have time to watch them.

I believe the morning track is earlier. I'll need to confirm that.
As far as how things played out for Mick and Mac, keep watching. They aired Mutiny last night at 7. That is one of my favorite fantasy episodes. They have been doing one fantasy epi a year for the past few years.
Keep an eye out around Memorial day. USA has had marathons the past 2 years.

Trevor Goddard's death was bizarre. Everyone thought he was Australian, but it turned out that he was actually British.
That was why I set a wishlist for "Mutiny." It's the only episode where Goddard speaks in his normal accent.

I believe the official ruling was accidental overdose.

That's my take on it. Just look at the guide info. I'm pretty sure that the morning episodes are all from 2000, and the afternoon episodes are 2001. Not positive about the years, but I know they are different years.
I'm hanging on my seat, Harm just went down in the Atlantic yesterday afternoon!

That is why I said keep watching. They did some pretty interesting stuff for that cliffhanger and after.
From that season to now they have some pretty interesting character development. I think things have moved more dynamically from that point than all the other prior seasons combined.

They had a really nice tribute to him at the end of this season's premier. It was fitting, even got me misty eyed.
